Pete started his legal career at Lawrence & Associates Accident and Injury Lawyers, LLC in March 2015. He is a partner with the firm and is Chief Operations Officer. Pete is licensed to practice in Ohio and Kentucky,
Before joining Lawrence & Associates, Pete worked for an insurance defense firm. After being given an assignment to review the medical records of a quadriplegic person to find opportunities to discredit their story or minimize their injuries, Pete decided he would never work in insurance defense again. He joined Lawrence & Associates because he wanted to be on the side of hard-working, honest people in need of legal assistance during difficult times. Pete honestly believes in the legal process and trusts Kentucky and Ohio juries to reach the right result for the injured clients he represents.
Pete graduated cum laude from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He was one of only two students in his graduating class to receive the Certificate for Excellence in Advocacy. Shortly before graduation, he was elected to the prestigious Order of the Barrister. At Chase, Pete was selected to become a member of the Inns of Court in each consecutive year. He was elected vice president of the Chase Student Advocacy Society and was the founding president of the law school Toastmasters Chapter. As a member of the Chase National Trial Team, Pete competed in trial competitions throughout the country, helping fill the law school trophy cabinet along the way. Pete has maintained his ties to Chase, where he works as an Adjunct Professor of the trial team he once represented.
Pete proudly became a U.S. Citizen in 2012, but he was born in England and lived in Poland for nearly two years before moving to the U.S.A. Before becoming a lawyer, Pete pursued a successful management career. He uses this experience to better represent his clients. Pete has a 19-year-old son in college. He is a lifelong fan of Manchester United Football Club.
Pete is an advocate for breast cancer awareness. His wife was diagnosed in 2009 and fought against the disease until she passed away in 2019. Pete’s experience by her side through surgeries, therapies, recovery, remission and ultimately the return of metastatic disease is something he draws on to empathize with his clients.
Pete is an adjunct professor at Salmon P. Chase College of Law where he teaches trial advocacy. He is a regular attendee of Trial Lawyers’ University and a member of Ohio and Kentucky bar associations
As Chief Operations Officer Pete is involved in all of the firms’ practice areas, but he focuses his personal case load on personal injury cases going to trial and complex workers’ compensation cases. Pete’s experience in personal injury and workers’ compensation litigation is supplemented by trial experience in family law and medical malpractice cases. Pete’s main areas of practice are:
A man was injured when a piece of construction equipment collided with his vehicle and crushed him.
A man was working on a motor vehicle when a truck struck the vehicle. The man was pinned between the two vehicles, and his hips and legs were broken.
A man fell off a ladder at work and shattered his knee. His insurance refused to pay for lost wages and medical bills so L&A stepped in and made sure he received fair compensation for the loss.
